That weekend went by fast. But with daylight savings time ending, I got an extra hour of sleep! Yay! Usually I don’t pay much attention to girls in general and exchange students even less, but I have to say this: Swedish girls are H-O-T! I mean, this girl in my 20th century class (who’s an exchange student from Sweden) is smokin’! Anyhoo, now that I’ve gone on my once-in-a-lifetime hot girl rant, I’ve run out of of blog-material. I guess I’ll go type some more of my stories. Check them out: A Worried World and Goliath LS on FictionPress.com and A Darkness Greater Than Light on FanFiction.net. Give me some reviews and tell me how you like ‘em!

Well, Homecoming week was great. The class competitions were very, er, competitive and everything went off good. The lip syncs were the best in the time that I’ve been here and probably the best ever (except for the sophomores, but the fact that they’re sophomores excuses them). For those of you who don’t have the faintest idea of what I’m talking about, at the Burlington-Edison Homecoming assembly, all the classes perform skits to the music theme they’re given. For instance, this year’s seniors got “One-Hit Wonders” (including “Ice Ice Baby”, “Blue”, “The Macarena” and others). These skits range from hilarious (like this year’s seniors) or just pitiful (like last years sophomores). B-E people, you know what I mean about the latter. And then there was the Homecoming game. Awesome game until the second Sehome touchdown. Very close game even so. The first quarter passed with no score, very good defense on both sides. Second quarter, we got a field goal. It was mostly downhill from there. Sehome scored a touchdown, then we scored a touchdown, and they scored again. So in the last two minutes, it was 14-10 Sehome, B-E had the ball 30 yards from the end zone. They passed all four downs and only the skin-of-the-teeth fourth down pass was completed. That gained us about 10 or 15 yards for a first down. They did the exact same thing, only this time, we botched all four passes and Sehome got the ball on downs. They didn’t score again, but it was too late for us to do anything about it. You know, I think the last time B-E had a really good football team was back in the ’80s when we last won the King Bowl (the Washington State championships). And when Saxton Shearer left last year, well, it’s doubtful we’re going to state this year.
In other news, the marching band had a good parade and I read an 820 page book in about 5 days. No, really, nothing else has been going on. Except eating food, which I shall do right away ’cause it’s getting hard to hear the radio over the sound of my stomach growling.
Sphere: Related ContentMan, I’ve been slackin’ haven’t I? Eh, it’s not like I had much to talk about anyhoo. But big things happened this week. Well, I know some big things happened but the only thing I can think of at the mo’ is the PSAT. Incredibly, it actually seemed easier than it was when I took it last year, even though this year, I was less prepared. Wowzers! It’s tough being on top. I mean, after I took the PSAT, people ask what I got last year, as a sophomore. I tell them 1300, since that’s what I got. Then they say something along the lines of this, “WHAT?? You got a 1300?? That’s frickin’ good, Cody! Jeez, your a frickin’ genius! Why’d you take it again? Were you upset you didn’t get that last 300? That’s twice as good as I got!” and so on. In other news, I’m still getting mail from colleges I’ve never even heard of and I watched Enemy at the Gates which is a good movie even though there’s a totally irrelevant sex scene in the middle. Hey! Just like the second Matrix! Other than that, my life’s been good. Drama is kinda limiting my homework time (I’m so glad I don’t have a job) and the right speaker in my car cut out for no apparent reason. At least I have an antenna now. You have no idea how hard it is to listen to the radio when you can only pick up one AM station and barely that. Especially living in the middle of a forest surrounded by mountains. And rain. Although rain doesn’t have anything to do with the price of tea in China. And now I’m totally getting off subject which is all right since I’m going to quit typing and do something totally not worthwhile.
Sphere: Related ContentDas Boot turned out to be a great movie, although the ending was really sad. But I won’t tell about it so all you people who haven’t seen it won’t know the ending. Another bummer: my new car stereo doesn’t work. Major bummer. Although, my uncle tried it out on his car and it worked. So maybe it’s just something we did wrong in hooking it up. Strange. Well, we’ll get it working eventually. Other than that, today was a great day. Got to stay home alone, watch TV, try to do the practice PSAT I have, etc. Next week’s going to be packed. I have a couple after school drama things, as well as a Key Club meeting on Monday, and a bunch of other things I can’t think of off the top of my head. And the week after that I have some more drama things (and a dinner play) and the PSAT. Fun. Well, now I’m depressed about Das Boot. Oh well. Fun times. Yeah. I’m kinda bored. I’m so bored I don’t even have anything pointless to ramble about. Guess I’ll just play the computer. Hehe, those Raiders will learn to fear Cody and the Broncos…
Sphere: Related ContentOkay, back to plain color background. I got a lot of complaints. No, actually it just made it hard for me to read. Hehehe…well, I just got back from a football game–high school, of course–where the grand old Tigers stomped Bellingham 45-7. Most excellent. Our team’s doing good this year. I wouldn’t be surprised if we went on to state again. I also wouldn’t be surprised if we didn’t, but oh well. That’s life. Anyhoo, I gots me a new car stereo! It’ll do for the mo’, but I still want one with a CD player in it. That reminds me, I still need an antenna. Kinda sucks to be around all these cool radio stations (not) when you can only pick up one and barely even that one. Winter is cold. <–Very philosophical insight there. Yes, I was really cold at the football game. Maybe it was because I wasn’t wearing gloves and I was holding a metal instrument…yes, that’s it. Well, now I’m off to spend a few hours goggling at naughty pictures and drinking Mountain Dew. Okay, scratch the naughty pictures part, I’ll just do the Dew. Hehehe…
