Preparing for a parade

The grand four-day weekend is coming to an end (I really hope I didn’t forget any homework). That means I have a packed week ahead of me. On Tuesday is the big B-E vs. Mount Vernon basketball game, Wednesday and Thursday are marching practice days, Friday is another basketball game (the pep band plays at certain games), and the Sedro-Woolley Christmas Parade is on Saturday. This parade is one of my least favorites. Hours and hours of marching through subzero temperatures just to find that the other competitor (Sedro-Woolley) won because the judges were all from Sedro-Woolley. Okay, so I exaggerated a bit. It’s really only about an hour, it rarely gets below freezing, and this year, we have something like three Burlington judges, three Sedro-Woolley judges, and two Mount Vernon judges. This year ought to be interesting. That reminds me, I need to find out what the saxes are doing with decorating instruments. Curses! I should have done that a while ago. *runs off to find fellow saxophones*
