Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy

Chug some Pan-Galactic Gargleblasters and don’t forget your towel! The funniest book of all time is finally being made into a movie! Out either May 6 or April 29. Pray that it be the latter. You can see the trailer at http://hitchhikers.movies.go.com/main.html.

In other news, I finally took the dreaded ACT. It actually wasn’t that bad. The English portion was simple, the science section didn’t scare me at all, and the reading wasn’t too horrible. However, the math was freakishly hard. What the floppy pancakes is a box and whisker plot?! Whatever the case, I’m glad I didn’t have any essay to write. Alas, the SAT has such. I’m screwed.

May the 42 be with you.

And more importantly…Don’t Panic!

Depression continued

The depression continues! I’m in a serious slump here. However, I’ve figured out how it all started: from reading about other peoples’ problems. I naturally feel for another person. If they’re pissed off, it makes me angry. If they’re bummed about something, I get bummed too. And this constantly annoys me. So for all of you out there reading this: DO NOT BUG ME WITH YOUR PROBLEMS!!! I’m having enough troubles as it is.

Dating rant

Well, I ‘m feeling very bummed today. I don’t quite know why. It may have to do with the fact that my ex-girlfriend has a new boyfriend. That shouldn’t bother me at all. I guess it’s just that feeling of uselessness. I can’t explain it. Perhaps its just that she has a BF, yet I can’t get a girlfriend to save my life. But that gets me thinking. I don’t particularly want a girlfriend. It seems pointless. You’re not going to marry them. You sure as hell don’t truly love them. What’s the point? All the courtship has gone out of dating. These days, its more of a “you’re hot, go out with me” thing. I don’t want to be part of something that low anymore. Although, I do feel lonely at times.

I have the ACT on Saturday. Wish me luck. I don’t think it will be too tough. The only thing that bothers me is how I have to be up at Western at 8 in the morning to take it. That means I have to wake up at 6:30 so I have time to find the room. I’m gonna be dead for the first hour or so. Good thing we have lotsa Mountain Dew at home. I’m definitely gonna need that caffeine boost.

Enterprise canceled

I’ve just been handed a memo that Enterprise has been officially canceled. Now, this poses no problem to me as I don’t watch the show, but it may be the last we hear from Star Trek in a long while. Then again, that doesn’t bother me either because Trek will always live on in the hearts of fans. I prefer a good Star Trek RPG anyways. The only series I paid much mind to growing up was TOS since my parents own the complete series and all six of the original movies (TMP through The Undiscovered Country) on tape. TNG was long over with when I was young and DS9 was only on after my bed time. However, I did watch quite a bit of Voyager and I got to see the series finale. It was the best Trek show I’ve ever watched! I only wish I had known how to use the VCR back then…
