How the heck do you pronounce the word “dimmed?” I always thought it was one syllable and pronounced like hemmed, with the short “i” sound. But I’ve been told that it’s two syllables (dimm-ed). And I can’t find the answer anywhere! Of course, it may just be pronounced differently in different areas, but I’ve always heard it pronounced the first way. I’m starting to really dislike English…

In other news, I received my housing arrangements at the University of Washington. I didn’t get the residence hall I wanted, but that’s no surprise considering how many incoming freshman there are going to be…ugh. It should be interesting at best. Anyways, I’m supposed to move in on Friday, September 22, so I should really start figuring out what I’m going to bring. Yay. As excited as I am to be off for college, I must confess that a part of me is a bit scared. I’ll be on my own for the first time ever, and I’m going to be uber-paranoid about my roommate. I only hope that he’s all right with watching Lost every Wednesday night. Well, I’ll probably email him sometime soon to see what he’s like. Maybe he won’t be too bad…

School starts in a little over a month. September 27 is the big day. I don’t know exactly when I’ll be moving down to the campus, but I need to do a little bit of cleaning up to figure out what I’m going to take. It should be…interesting. I’ve got a lot of stuff.

Other than that, nothing else is new. No job, no money, yada yada. But at least one of my personal questions has been answered. I think. I’m just going to say it was answered. I feel better that way. Yes, I’m being vague. No, I’m not going to tell what it is. Anyone on the Net can read this, mind you.

Now I’m going to sleep. Or something. Maybe I’ll do something interesting tomorrow…I do have that whale watching voucher just laying on my desk…
