It’s not insomnia…

Why would I be writing a post at three in the morning? One reason: I can’t sleep. Normally, I wouldn’t bother to post if I wasn’t tired, but this particular situation bears mentioning. You see, I can’t sleep because my roommate, Jay, is making noises somewhat similar to those made by a chainsaw cutting through steel. It’s awful. I was on the verge of falling asleep when Jay came in and lay down. He fell asleep almost instantly and began snoring. Loudly. Normally, I can abide by loud breathing, but not this. Nothing will drown it out. I’ve tried everything (including throwing things, to no effect), so I just gave up ever getting to sleep and decided to wait out the night in the library, which is luckily open 24 hours. I may try to catch some z’s up on the silent study floor if I can find an empty chair or couch, but I’ll probably just sit it out for the long haul at one of the many computers until morning. I don’t have class until 11:30, so I think I’ll be good. I’ll be dead tired, but this is better than laying in bed contemplating murder.
