No I’m not surprised, I knew it was coming and surprisingly I feel sorry for her. I mean I know that what she has done has not been accidental but I think the media needs to give her a break. And don’t even get me started on her poor kids! I think some celebrities are good at keeping thier problems under wraps, I mean have you ever heard anything horrible of say Mandy Moore (just saying her because they were in the same time period when they both claimed fame)? I know that the media can be entertaining, but these people are people too, they have their own lives and I’m sure everyone would look horrible when examined under a microscope. But no I’m not surprised about the whole custody issue at all.

Indeed, celebrities are often nothing more than regular people with the spotlight on them. Of course, there are a few who have real talent, but those are the ones almost never targeted by the media, considering they don’t need to make spectacles of themselves to stay famous. People like Paris Hilton and Britney Spears (the former who really has no reason to be famous and the latter who’s beginning to fade) try to keep people interested in them. Oddly enough, it works for Paris. Britney, on the other hand…crazy things may put you on the front page of some entertainment magazine, but they sure don’t make you look good.
