I don't really accomplish much by playing games, but neither do I accomplish much by watching a movie on TV. Actually, I think playing games probably does more for a person than watching movies. Games require interaction and quick thinking, and they can also improve eye-hand coordination. Now, I'm not advocating video games as the best way to hone your reflexes, but they can be of some use. Anyways, I do agree that games shouldn't be an obsession. Nothing should control your life to the extent that you ignore everything else. I play games as a diversion or for entertainment. I don't think I'd be able to withstand 12 straight hours or something like that, even if it was for a prize. Well, they’re just entertainment for most people. I mean doesn't it seem kind of pointless. If you sit and play halo 3 for then pick up and leave, what have you accomplished? The cyber world is good for say blogging and research but maybe not this? It just seems like the world has so much more to offer that actually exsists, like politics, volunteering, schooling... well you get my point.
