Star Trek XI

YouTube Preview Image

I’ve always been a Trek fan. Not as fanatic as Trekkies (Trekkers, whatever), but I did watch the entire original series of Star Trek over a couple of summers as a boy. So when I say I’m looking forward to the new Star Trek movie, I mean I’m looking forward to it. Well, I don’t know what else I’d mean if I said that…chalk up another pretty much useless statement by me.

Five lights!

I love obscure Star Trek references.

It’s also nearly one in the morning and I’m slightly loopy. Odd how those things happen.

No crown for you

Winterfest was awesome, even if the DJ did blow his amp. Meh. The upside of that was being able to hear myself think for the last half of the dance. I forgot my crown, though, which was a bummer. They even took pictures of the royalty, and me without my crown…oh well.

Now I’ve got to go back to school, something I really don’t want to do considering the semester ends this Friday. Normally, that’d be a good thing, but I have papers and tests all over the place this week along with my Calculus notebook. I’m probably going to get yet another B in Calc unless all my homework miraculously does itself. Curse my procrastination and concentration problems!

You know, I guess it’s the onset of the end of high school, but it’s getting really hard for me to care about certain things. This holds true for schoolwork (especially Physics and Calc) and other stuff, like my ST simms and bowling. I just don’t care as much as I used to, and it’s bothering me. Things like bowling used to be so much fun, but now I’m anxiously awaiting the end of the league I’m currently in. Maybe it’s some odd form of senioritis, but that’s usually just school-related.

In case you’re starting to worry, no, I’m not depressed. I just don’t know what it is. It seems the only bright spot in my life (what I actually care about) are Lindsay and the rest of my friends. Other than that…

…well, that was a depressing entry. Maybe I’ll find some way to perk up before the semester ends. *wanders off to listen to emo music*

I’m kidding about the emo music bit. I’m not that crazy.

Snail-eating fish

Craft fair tomorrow. And Vet’s day parade. And O’Dea football game. Joy. Rapture. Glee.

You can tell I’m not terribly excited about the whole thing. Of course, I did volunteer to play at the football game, so that bit of pain is totally my fault, but the parade is required (oh please let it rain and thunder and stuff) and my parents are bound to drag me to watch their booth at the fair for no reason at all.

Well, things on the Canuck are going swimmingly. Somehow, my less-than-sterling recruiting efforts have gained me a few new crewmembers, bringing the total ship’s enrollment to 12, including myself. That’s none too shabby. The only problem is, my XO doesn’t post a whole lot (curse you Ian!) and all the new players are…well, newbies. Complete and utter n00bs. One of them has already dropped off the face of the Earth, and I didn’t even get to yell at him for posting wrong. Just kidding. I don’t do that. Except to Ian. *runs away from a certain viola-wielding Trekker*

On the home front, my Internet is being naughty again, possibly due to this nice little rainstorm that’s moved in and covers all of the Pacific Northwest. It wouldn’t be so bad if we didn’t rely on satellite for our entertainment purposes (meaning TV and Internet). I also got a little (well, not that little) snail for my Betta fish’s tank, which was being rampantly overrun by algae until I attacked it with a toothbrush and paper towels. In theory, this snail will eat the algae and keep the tank clean. In practice, it’s just sitting up near the top of the tank doing nothing. At least the fish isn’t trying to eat it, which I’m told can sometimes occur. Of course, sometimes the snail can be the one doing the eating. That’s usually a disturbing sight to watch.

I’m experimenting with various website templates in the hopes that I’ll finally get my personal website up. Unfortunately, the majority of them require editing of various PSD files for customization, and my copy of CS2 is being really, really slow. Seriously, I don’t know what’s up. I even stole–I mean scavenged–an extra 256 meg memory chip from another computer in the house to see if it made any difference. It didn’t. So here I am, 768 megs of RAM, and my computer still hates Photoshop. Figures.

Oh, and I also went over to Lindsay’s house today to watch Mask of Zorro. Of course, we talked more than we watched, but I suppose that’s a fair trade-off. One funny incident: Lindsay was telling me how in Drama, she was talking to my sister Chelsea, when Chelsea found out I was coming to the closing night of Charley’s Aunt. Chelsea said, in typical sisterly fashion, “Oh, Cody will do anything for you, Lindsay.” Funny thing is, that’s not too far from the truth.

Now that I’ve emptied my brain into this post, I bid you good luck, and good night.

…biatch

I don’t quite know why I’m doing this, but perhaps it has to do with the fact that…

I AM THE BEST PERSON IN THE WORLD AND WHATEVER I SAY GOES!!!

…biatch.

Okay, that was completely random. Don’t look at me like that! Before I go completely batty, I’ll just list out some cool stuff that happened recently. And cool things you should check out *Jedi mind trick waving*.

-Found a half-million more webcomics to read
-Mac Hall
-Ctrl+Alt+Del
-VG Cats
-Men In Hats
-There are others, but I’m too lazy to write them all out.
-Semi-hooked up with Lindsay after Homecoming (I’m not sure what exactly constitutes hooking up these days)
-Promoted to Captain and Task Group CO on my Star Trek simm (yes, I’m a nerd like that)
-Joined two bowling leagues, one with the school
-Bought a Mountain Dew. Hell yeah!

Other stuff happened, but I can’t remember all of it through the drug-induced haze I’m in right now…I’m only kidding.

Oh, and I got back the pictures Lindsay’s mom took before Homecoming. Once I get them scanned, I’ll post ‘em up. I hope the other pics come soon. Also, I’m still trying to create a website of my own, cleverly entitled codyLOGAN (because putting my last name in all caps is the shiznit). I’m running into some problems, mostly related to content, but I hope it will have some cool info on me and stuff like that. Maybe I should start a webcomic…no, must…resist…evil…ARGH! *is glued to addictive funny random webcomics with cute fuzzy animals and bleeding*

Glee!
